[edit] Background
I'm a 16 year old Miami resident. I first discovered Wikipedia around 2002 by clicking a link to Godwin's Law posted on a Slashdot comment. As a high school student, I spend most of my time in class or doing work. With a job as a photojournalist at my school newspaper, I occasionally get to meet interesting people and take interesting pictures.
[edit] Ideals
Like any true Wikipedian, I am an idealist (albeit a very skeptical one) and believe in ideas such as direct democracy, Communism, Esperanto, and Wikipedia.
[edit] Language
I speak quite a few languages (the number varies depending on what you consider to be fluency), but living in the Anglosphere has led me to focus more on language issues in English than any other (as evidenced by my userboxes. I suffer from a mild case of Francophobia due to my beliefs that French grammar is too redundant, French vocabulary is neither sufficiently Romantic nor Germanic to be mutually intelligible, and French phonology is too archaic. Ironically, I am a major supporter of French culture and ideals.
[edit] Contributions
Despite having been a Wikipedian for a considerable amount of time, I have contributed far less than most users (particularly ThrashedParanoid, a friend of mine who has created a great deal of maps and flags). Rather, I employ the passive tactic of reading articles and reverting any vandalism I happen to notice.
