Luis Pujols

Luis Bienvenido Pujols Toribio (born November 18, 1955, in Santiago, Dominican Republic) was a catcher and manager in Major League Baseball. He played nine seasons with the Houston Astros, Kansas City Royals, and Texas Rangers.

After his playing career, he coached the Detroit Tigers and became the team's interim manager for most of the 2002 season after Phil Garner was fired. Pujols last served as first base coach for the San Francisco Giants, whose manager, Felipe Alou, previously served as a coach under Pujols.
