Luis Flores

Luis Alberto Flores (Born April 11, 1981 in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic) is a professional basketball player. He is a 6 ft 2 in (1.88 m) and 195 lb (88 kg) point guard. He grew up in the rough, predominantly Latino neigborhood of Washington Heights in New York City.
He was drafted by the Houston Rockets in the 2nd round (55th pick) of the 2004 NBA Draft. His draft rights were traded to the Dallas Mavericks before being traded to the Golden State Warriors on August 24, 2004. He played only 15 games with the Warriors (4.9min per game) before being trading to the Denver Nuggets on February 24, 2005. He appeared only in one game with the Nuggets, playing 4 minutes. He was waived by the Denver Nuggets on August 30, 2005.
Currently, he plays in Spain.
Played his freshman college season with Rutgers, but really showed all his potential during his three years with Manhattan College. He finished his career as Manhattan's all-time leading scorer, averaging 22.7 points per game. He was named All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player of the Year and Tournament Most Valuable Player both in his junior and senior season. He also was selected in the All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference First Team during his three seasons in Manhattan College and won other numerous awards.
Flores is member of the Dominican Republic basketball national team.
