Luis Fernando Pinzón Cancino (born 1975 in Bogotá, Colombia), is a Colombian artist. Known for striving to capture the sense of his subjects by exposing his own sensibility through color and textures, his works include abstract and figurative paintings. His first canvas captured an almost absolute abstraction where the mature was the craft, the textures, the pencil stroke and especially the color, manifested through long monochromatic degradations where the abstraction had hidden already. In that first works a figurative remind which afterwards was openly manifested. Distorted images of a dream which, at the awaking time, unfolds in stains, colors, textures and profuse sensations. The work of Luis Fernando Pinzón seek to demonstrate the double condition between the real and the perceived, between conscious and the subconscious, through the sensibility which reclaim us the use of the color and which demand us to recall the images of the past, of the fantasy and of dream. Exhibition of his works have been held in his native Colombia, Europe (Italy, France, Holland, Spain), and the U.S.A. at individual and collective level and is becoming one of the more important Colombian artists.
