Lugano Airport (IATA: LUG, ICAO: LSZA) lies closer to the village of Agno than to Lugano itself. It is therefore usually known as Lugano-Agno.
The instrument approach procedure is very challenging because of its steep angle of descent of 6.65°, more than double of the standard approach angle of 3°.
