Luella Bartley

Luella Bartley is a London-based designer who launched an upscale women's clothing line in 1999. Her collections, shown in New York since 2001, often feature a fusion of street style and preppy sophistication.
In January 2006, Bartley became the first designer to create an affordable collection of women's apparel and accessories for Target Corporation's GO International line, focusing on oversized sunglasses and kitschy prints. Bartley's designs were regularly featured in defunct teen fashion magazine Elle Girl.

Luella Bartley was born in 1974 in the English town of Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of Shakespeare. Before her career as a fashion designer, she held posistions at the Evening Standard (an English newspaper) and British Vogue. She resides in London with her boyfriend David Sims, a fashion photographer, and their two children, Kip and Stevie. Her interests include surfing and horseback riding.
