Ludwig Abel

Ludwig Abel (January 14, 1835, Eckartsberga – August 13, 1895, Munich) was a German violinist and composer.
He was a pupil of Ferdinand David. In 1867, he became the concertmaster at the Bavarian Royal Court and a Professor at the Musikschule in Munich.
Abel's compositions included one violin concerto, a violin method, as well as études and duos for violin.
