Ludvika Municipality is a Swedish municipality in Dalarna County, in central Sweden. Seat in the town Ludvika with 14,400 inhabitants.

Ludvika is situated by a small lake called Väsman, in the south-east part of the municipality. A small part of Ludvika urban area extends into Smedjebacken Municipality.

Many sportteams have their origins in Ludvika Municipality. Soccer is one of them, the teams "Östansbo IS" (ÖIS), "Ludvika FK" (LFK, male) and "IFK Ludvika" (female) come from Ludvika and play in divisions 4 and 3. All three also have junior teams, for younger people. And there is also one ice-hockey team, Ludvika IshockeyFörening (or LIF). Other teams include ping-pong-teams as well as other sports.
