[edit] Female Governors?
It looks like some places are citing that Lucy Baxley wants to be Alabama's first female governor. Wiki says that Alabama has already had a female governor. What's going on? I don't remember learning about a female governor in Alabama History - a class I feel like I took every year since I was 10. --71.8.83.75 00:17, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
- Lurleen Wallace was elected governor of Alabama in 1966 and served almost two years before she died of cancer. She ran on the "I'll let George do it" platform. --Dystopos 01:47, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Political Pundits Say She Might Win??
According to every poll cited in this article, Riley is far out in front. Yet the article states that political pundits think she may win. Are these objective pundits or pundits for one party? Who says it? I like Lucy, too, but that statement screams out for attribution. I would suggest the statement should be deleted altogether (just for the sake of NPOV). Any objections? She really does not have a chance. Governor Riley is very popular, and every poll shows that the race is not even going to be close. She probably has about the same chance as Loretta Nall of winning. Mushrom 21:00, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
