Karen Lucy Hale, credited as Lucy Hale, (born June 14, 1989) is an American singer and actress, who was one of the ten winners of the nationally broadcast American Juniors TV reality/talent show, which became a band of the same name.

Hale was born in Memphis, Tennessee. She is the oldest member of the American Juniors. She was almost one year over the limit when she auditioned for the American Juniors (the limit was thirteen, she was fourteen). She didn't break the rules because she turned 14 in the middle of the show.

After the American Juniors band dissolved, Hale focused on acting. She's had guest roles on shows such as Drake & Josh, Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, The O.C., and most recently How I Met Your Mother. As well she filmed an ABC pilot for the show Secrets of a Small Town. Produced by Touchstone TV, the show focuses on teenage girl's murder and disappearance of her sister. The show has not yet been officially scheduled to air.

Hale is the youngest of three; her siblings include an older sister and brother. Her favorite stores are Hollister and Abercrombie.

Her grandmother just recently died. Her name was Karen Hoback, where Lucy received her first name. She says her grandmother was an inspiration to her, and she will miss her dearly.
