Lucius Cary, 15th Viscount Falkland

Lucius Edward William Plantagenet Cary, 15th Viscount Falkland (b. 8 May 1935) is a Liberal Democrat politician and peer. He is the elder son of Lucius Henry Charles Plantagenet Cary, 14th Viscount Falkland and Constance Mary Berry.

Cary was educated at Wellington College. He was married in 1962 (divorced 1990) to Caroline Anne Butler, with whom he had three children:

He married again in 1990 to Nicole Mackey, with whom he has one child:

  • Hon. Charles Byron Milburn Cary, (b. 1992)

Cary became Viscount Falkland in 1984 and sat in the House of Lords with the Social Democratic Party, later joining the Liberal Democrats. He was elected to stay in the Lords following the removal of most hereditary peers as an office-holder.

Viscount Falkland is a Distinguished Supporter of the British Humanist Association.
