Lucas Castromán is an Argentine football midfielder. He was born on October 2, 1980, in the city of Villa Flandria in the Buenos Aires Province of Argentina. He currently plays for Vélez Sársfield in the Primera Division Argentina.
Castromán began his professional career with Vélez in 1997, his consistent performances in midfield won hin a lucrative transfer to S.S. Lazio in the Italian Serie A in 2001, In 2003 he was loaned to fellow Italians Udinese before returning to Vélez in 2004.
Castromán is a firm favourite with the Vélez fans, he reinforced his place in the history of the club by helping the team to win the Primera Division Clausura tournament in 2005 after the clubs run of 8 years without a trophy.
