Hello all, and thank you for contributing to this school article. I'm part of the Wikipedia:WikiProject_Schools/Assessment team, and I'm reviewing this page. [edit] Couple of quibbles

I am really impressed by this article, one of the best schools articles I have seen, and hope that somebody makes the press for this to reach featured status soon.

What's impressed me most is the structure of the article and the quality of the referencing. The article consists of a series of well-structured factual claims about the school, and these facts largely can be backed up completely by identical factual claims in the references.

My only quibbles with the article are:

  • A reference should be found for the school's catchment area (specifically the claim "The school primarily serves students from the central and eastern parts of Lubbock, but the school's LEAP program serves students from all over the city." (That should, incidentally, be explored in more depth elsewhere, as the WP:LEAD is meant to summarize information from further below in the article)
  • You really need to reference the musical links - it shouldn't be too hard to find a source.
  • The Academic Decathlon section is underreferenced - the reference only confirms the court challenge. It would probably be a good idea to remove personal details (individual names) from this section too.

Many thanks, TheGrappler 14:13, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the comments. I removed the individuals' names from that section; I agree that it is probably best for them to be left out. As for your other comments, I will work on addressing them in the near future. Thanks again for the comments. Ultimately achieving FA status is my goal for this article; it's good to know that you think it's moving toward that. --Myles Long 18:12, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
