[edit] Luberoth
Luberoth is a fictional character first created purely as a character for table-top roleplaying games but quickly moved on to other facets of Literary life. He has appeared in many locations around the world but his creation began in Sydney, Australia.
[edit] The Creation
Luberoth's creation lies in a now deceased table-top roleplaying game named MERP. The Character began with a different name then that of Luberoth, Originally being named Llandarr. The Character himself was created as a mage of the Tolkien Elvish race of Silvan. Unlike many elves, this character had been twisted by the workings of Sauron, only in mind not body such as is the case with orcs. His exploits gradually escalated into a famous sprawl of evil deeds and over time his name converted to that of Luberoth, the name of his previous archrival. Throughout a few years, Luberoth gradually seeped his way into certain Novels and short stories, as well as other facets of the Roleplaying world. After years of being open for use by the public, the name and character were finally copyrighted by the original creator, one William Brian Sunderland.

As stated Luberoth was an elf twisted by Sauron and turned to the works of evil. He is a mage and therefore shows a great degree of magic talent. As evil characters go, Luberoth is one of the ones that have a mixed mind of insane ideas constricted by rational planning. Luberoth would not perform acts of evil where he could be seen or if he could not get out of it. His main evil is evident in his long drawn out plans that lead to an undetectable assassination or kidnapping. On outward appearance he seems very flamboyant yet dark and sinister. Inwardly he thinks fast and takes in all aspects of his surroundings. His main survival trait is his unique way of looking at the world, he can line up things in his mind and make traps out of hills in the middle of a battle, without getting within 50 feet of the hill.

Luberoth has been adventuring for many years in many games, but his most famous exploits are those based during his first years or MERP fame. Such events as his leadership of a town during battle. Luberoth's magic and a squadron of 40 archers held back an army of 400 other warriors. As the enemies neared the gate their mage demolished the gate with one ball of fire... and the battle was on. Luberoth rushed to the scene and performed some of the greatest fighting he had for years. A series of well placed illusions and traps separated the army and mage and gave Luberoth the edge he needed to fight the mage that was much more powerful than him.
