Lubbock Lights
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Lubbock Lights were a v-shaped formation of lights seen over the town of Lubbock, Texas in August, 1951.
The lights were first seen on August 25, 1951, including by professors at Texas Tech University. They were seen again in the Lubbock area on several occasions, as well as in New Mexico.
A theory for the lights is that they were newly installed street lights or lights from a drive-in movie theater reflecting off a flock of plovers.
Professor David Wheeler published a novel "Lubbock Lights".
