LuAnn Ridgeway

LuAnn Ridgeway is an attorney and a Republican member of the Missouri State Senate. She currently resides in Smithville, Missouri.

She grew up attending the public schools in Moberly, Missouri, and later went on to William Woods University and Westminster College, Missouri, where she received a B.A. degree. She received her J.D. degree at University of Missouri-Columbia, and went on to further study at American University and Oxford University. She is married to Dr. Richard Ridgeway.

She is a Home Missionary of New Harvest Church, and is or has been a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, the Missouri Farm Bureau, the Kiwanis Club (of which she is a past president), the Rotary Club, the chamber of commerce, the Missouri County Bar Association, the Clay County Bar Association, and the Missouri Baptist Theological Seminary Board of Regents.

She was first elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in 1993, and served in that body through 2002. She was elected to the Missouri State Senate in 2004. She is currently the vice chair of the Rules, Joint Rules, Resolutions and Ethics Committee, and also serves on the following committees:

  • Appropriations
  • Commerce, Energy and the Environment
  • Pensions, Veterans' Affairs and General Laws
