The LTU arena in Düsseldorf, Germany, was built from 2002 to 2004 to replace the former Rheinstadion at the same site near the Rhein. It is located next to

The multi-use stadium holds 51,500 and was not, as hoped for, selected as a venue for the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

The local football team Fortuna Düsseldorf is currently in the lower divisions of German football and as of March 2007, the average home attendance was 12,901. The home games of Rhein Fire and the World Bowl of NFL Europa are also played at the stadium. This game was hosted here in 1999, 2002 (as farewell to the Rheinstadion) and in 2005. It was announced for 2006, too.

The name was sponsored by LTU International, a German charter airline company based in Düsseldorf.

Madonna became the first woman ever to play here on her Confessions Tour on Sunday 20 August 2006

2007 concert venues include the American rock band Pearl Jam on June 21st 2007, Genesis on June 26th and 27th 2007, the Rolling Stones on August 13th, 2007 and The Police on October 13, 2007.
