[edit] History
Loy Norrix High School opened in 1961 after Kalamazoo Central High School graduated just under 800 students in 1960, its largest graduating class to that date. The school was considered a revolutionary new design when it was created. It drew many people from around the world even the former USSR came to look and learn from it. Today the building is more faded and in need of reworking from the 40+ years of use.
[edit] Academics
The school offers numerous levels of education for all the different kinds of students it contains. From special ed to AP you can get it all here. Loy Norrix consistently produces some of the brightest and talented students in Southwest Michigan.
