Loxton, North Somerset

Loxton is a village and civil parish close to the M5 motorway in North Somerset, England.
The village has been populated since Norman times. Old mine-workings on the hills, indicate that at one time mining was abundant, probably for calamine, lead, copper and more recently yellow ochre.
The Parish Church of St Andrew dates from the 11th century and is a grade II* listed building.[1]
