Loxene

Loxene has at least two meanings:
- A shampoo sold in Australia and New Zealand during the 1960, produced by Reckitt & Colman. The name has survived as The Loxene Gold Disc, a version of the New Zealand Music Awards between 1965 and 1972, given for best album.
- A detergent made by BASF, used in some hopitals until 1967. It was withdrawn after people fell ill or died, apparently from one its active ingredients, pentachlorophenol.
