Lowrider Soundtrack

The Lowrider Soundtrack series is a series of compilations dedicated to music inspired by Lowrider Magazine and events presented by Lowrider Magazine. Most of the music on the Lowrider Soundtrack volumes is old, but some of it was recorded especially for the series. The earlier volumes featured mainly Chicano rap, Freestyle and 70s R&B, whereas more recent items focus more on Chicano rap, Latin rap and gangster rap. Thump Records seems to have now abandoned the Lowrider Soundtrack format per se in favour of theme-based or genre-based compilations like "Lowrider Bajito Tour '99", "Lowrider Fiesta", and "Lowrider Bass", and the series "Lowrider Oldies" and "Lowrider Jams".
