Lowkey

Lowkey is an underground English hip-hop artist.

He has been garnering a large fan base and much critical acclaim since the release of his first mixtape, entitled Key to the Game Vol. 1. A year later he released Vol. 2, before adding a third volume - Key to the Game Vol. 3 - to the trilogy late in 2005.

This latest mixtape features production from DJ Snips, Nutty P and Shears, and covers a range of (mostly autobiographical) subject matter, including "Bars For My Brother" - a heartfelt tribute to his dead brother, and "Check-Up" - a humorous track about a visit to an STD clinic.

He is now working on his first "proper" album which, judging by the underground buzz created by his three mixtapes, may well help him rise the ranks of English hip-hop.

He is now working on the project New World Order. This is a combination of him and fellow UK emcee Logic. They have recorded some songs and have got a mixtape & album coming out soon. The most famous of their songs is 'Home Is Where The Heart Is' in this they role-play as characters. Logic plays a child in a starving African country whos mum and sister were raped and Lowkey plays a young man on the Gaza Strip tired of life who decides to be a suicide bomber, this is all told wonderfully over a lovely flute beat by Kideight an up & coming producer who did the cover of their mixtape.

Lowkey is also a member of rap group Poisonous Poets.
