I created the page about the Battle of the Bay of Viipuri. I considered both alternatives for the name. I investigated, checked Google and compared notes and similar cases. I probably should have started with "the", to begin with. That represents the more proper English language. What do you base your view on ? I was only changing my own text, in case that was you concern. I have nothing against the name Battle of the Bay of Viipuri (other than the disambuguity with Battle of Vyborg Bay). In fact I agree that it is the more correct one.

You cannot however do copy-paste moves on Wikipedia. It looses the edit history and is in fact a copyright infringement, as you are claming other people's work to be your own.

What you should have done is used the "Move" tab on top of the page. Now that you edited the page (and created the Edit history) the move is no longer possible for noemal users. You (we) must ans an administrator for help. -- Petri Krohn 20:07, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

Just contact some administrator and ask him to do the move. You might try some Finnish administrator, like User:JIP.

As we are at the very opening stage of this article, and as there are only my opening remarks and your Vyborg link (I thought of that confusion as well) so far, perhaps we ought to just do the change. We are not tampering with anyone's contributions, really. I'll go ahead and do it, just for the hecks . . . I'm too shy to contact anyone. Perhaps nobody will notice ?

I agree - it is very difficult for a new user to spot that it is only one user, when you have multiple accounts, and use them in the same discussions. MoRsE 21:47, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
