Love You More than Football
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Love You More than Football is the unreleased third album by Space.
The album was scheduled to be released on Gut Records in 2000/2001 but was constantly postponed until it was eventually scrapped for good. The band eventually moved to another label, recording and releasing Suburban Rock 'N' Roll as their third album instead.
However, only four songs from the album ("Diary of a Wimp", "Gravity", "I Love You More than Football" and "Good Times" to be exact) have been released to the public on greatest hits compilations. However, there are some copied CD's circulating and can often be found on the official Space forums (the band also wanted their album to be released for free when they were nearing their contract with Gut Records but were refused to do so because of legal reasons). One of the original songs, "Supersonic Jetplane", is Yorkie's only contribution to Space, and is a tribute to his late mother Gladys Palmer. Edwyn Collins also helped produce some of the tracks.
