Love Makes the World Go 'Round (1961 song)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Love Makes the World Go 'Round" is a popular song.
It was written by Bob Merrill in 1961 for the musical play Carnival!. Dutch singer Ronnie Tober won a songfestival in Sopott Poland(1966) singing a medley of show tunes which included it. American singer Jane Morgan released a single of this song in 1961 on the Kapp label, though it was only a regional hit. The Everly Brothers included it on their album "Instant Party", titling it "Carnival".
(The song should not be confused with other songs with the same title, such as Perry Como's 1958 hit , or Paul Anka's 1963 hit - different yet. In addition, there are different contemporary compositions by singers like Madonna and Ashlee Simpson. All this can create difficulties managing copyrights.)
