[edit] Ancient name

Though it may be true that Loutrochori was a spa in ancient times, its name can't have been Μπάνια in ancient Macedonian or in Greek. The sequence ΜΠ is impossible in ancient Greek (and anc. Macedonian as far as anyone knows). The word Μπάνια is obviously the modern Greek word Μπάνια 'baths', which comes from the Italian "bagno". That word ultimately comes from ancient Greek βαλανεῖον or perhaps βάλανος, but certainly didn't exist in ancient Greek. It would be nice to know what the real ancient name of this place was.... --Macrakis 23:12, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
