The Louisiana Swashbucklers is a professional indoor football team. They're currently a member of the Intense Football League. They began in the National Indoor Football League in 2001 as a charter member known as the Lake Charles Land Sharks. After some decent success, they became the Southwest Louisiana Swashbucklers for their last NIFL season. Afterwards, they moved to the IFL and became the Louisiana Swashbucklers. They play their home games at Sudduth Coliseum.
