Louis Turenne (born November 26, 1933, died January 2007) is a movie and television actor whose career has spanned over 20 years. Turenne is of French Canadian descent, having been born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Most recently, Turenne was known for his work on the Babylon 5 television series. Turenne played the Minbari Draal in the first season two-part episode "A Voice in the Wilderness". When producers planned to bring Draal back during the third season Turenne was unable to reprise the role, having health problems at the time,[citation needed] resulting in the role passing to John Schuck. But the producers liked Turenne, and decided to have him back when a suitable role could be found,[citation needed] later casting him in the recurring role of Brother Theo, the leader of a group of Roman Catholic monks who came to live on the station.
