Louis R. Cappelli

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Louis R. Cappelli is a real estate developer most active in Westchester County, New York. Sometimes called "The Donald Trump of Westchester", Cappelli has developed more than four million square feet of mixed use, retail, waterfront, residential, office building, laboratory and parking facilities with a portfolio value exceeding $2 billion. His firm, Cappelli Enterprises, sometimes partners with Trump to market high-rise residential buildings in suburban New York City. Their 35-story Trump Tower in White Plains, New York is a centerpiece of the City Centre project many credit with creating an urban renaissance in the city. Trump and Cappelli are partnering on another tower in New Rochelle, New York, home of Cappelli's first high-profile project, New Roc City. Cappelli has also promoted a so-far unsuccessful effort to bring casino gambling to the Catskill Mountains region of New York. Cappelli's father, Luca Cappelli, founded and built from scratch, the company's predecessor real estate and development businesses (portions of which were sold to Reckson Properties). Cappelli is married to the actress Kylie Travis.
