Luigi Francisco Seal, Jr. or Lou Seal is the official mascot of the San Francisco Giants team in Major League Baseball. Lou was "born" on July 25, 1996 and has been a regular part of the Giants baseball home games and events around San Francisco, and the United States. He can frequently be seen on Sportscenter and was even spoofed on Saturday Night Live. Lou's best friends include the Phillie Phanatic; Gapper, the Cincinnati Red's mascot; and Stomper from the Oakland A's.

The name is a play on the name "Lucille" and also refers to the San Francisco Seals, the extremely popular baseball club which was a mainstay of the Pacific Coast League from 1903 until 1957.
