Lou Schuler

Lou Schuler is an award-winning fitness journalist and a certified strength and conditioning specialist. He is author or coauther of several books focusing on exercise and nutrition, including The New Rules of Lifting, The Book of Muscle, The Testosterone Advantage Plan, and The Home Workout Bible.

As fitness director at Men's Health magazine, he won the National Magazine Award in 2004[1]. Previously, he worked as fitness editor at Men's Fitness magazine, where his writing and editing helped the magazine earn several Maggie Awards, which are given by the Western Publications Association.

He graduated from the University of Missouri school of Journalism. Later he attended the professional writing program at the University of Southern California.

He lives in Allentown, Pennsylvania, with his wife and three children.
