Lou Little

Lou "Luigi Piccolo" Little (1893, Leominster, Massachusetts - May 28, 1978, Delray Beach, Florida) was an American football coach.

He was the head coach at Columbia University from 1930-1956. He was probably best known for two wins: the Rose Bowl in 1934 when Columbia beat Stanford 7-0; and the win over Army in 1947 in which the Columbia Lions beat the Cadets by 21-20. At that time, Army had enjoyed a lengthy winning streak. Probably one of the most famous Columbia players that he coached was Sid Luckman. Little played his college football at the University of Pennsylvania. He died at Delray Beach, Florida on May 28, 1978.
