[edit] Conversion to new format
As a heads-up, a recent mediation was concluded as to how to handle season and episode articles for Lost, and it was agreed that Season articles will no longer be episode-by-episode lists, but instead will have a more general description of the overall season. As such, this article will be converting soon. To join in the discussion about how to handle the details of the conversion (and to volunteer to help with some of the tasks that need doing), please see Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject Lost. --Elonka 14:17, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
Aren't Desmond and Henry Gale now in the main cast? They're still listed as secondary characters, it would probably be better to list them as main characters.
[edit] When?
When does this series commence? It mentions some time in 2007, does that mean no lost for this whole year? I can seriously see Lost losing it's appeal due to the fact unlike all other series, it takes forever to release it's seasons. 211.30.71.59 22:52, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, that was a typo that crept into the article. The third season begins tomorrow, October 4th, runs for six episodes, then there will be a break, and then it'll restart in 2007. --Elonka 00:15, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
I would like to know if anyone has an idea as to when in February the next 17 episodes will start airing? The 7th of Feb. and I thought it was 16 episodes?
-
- It is 16 episodes. The 17th might be because I bet the season finale will be two hours...making it 17 instead of 16.
Removed the following vandalism (it's cute though :) " It appears that not everything is all fine and dandy on the island after Rose's strip tease and karoke for Charlie, this attracts the attention on Aaron, Claires baby, who says his first words "Look at the crazy black women she sings like a angel and looks like Opra after a trip to KFC". Meanwhile after a conversation about how huge Mr Eko is and how his crazy hair and sweet gentle voice makes Desmond cry, Locke and Bernade talk about whos got the bigger knife." Cheers...Pam
I changed the Season 3 summary ever so slightly to make it read just a hair better. Some sentences ran on and poor punctuation made it difficult to read at points. Kudos to whoever contributed all that information, but I cleaned it up a little for you. -Rob
[edit] Paulo in Main Cast?
I read somewhere that he is not going to be in any of the upcoming Season 3 episodes. If someone can confirm this, should he be taken off the Main Cast list?
- I'm not sure where you heard that. --thedemonhog 06:41, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- Rodrigo Santoro said this in an interview. Google search it. Paulo said that he's shooting his last scenes, and considering how few episodes he's been in so far, he's more of a recurring character than main. - Fallingx
- Consider Mr. Eko. --thedemonhog 01:58, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- If you mean consider Paulo's status in relation to Eko's, Eko was a main character during Season Two. He had a few episodes where the flashback centered on him. Paulo has been in...3 scenes? Some of The Others have had far more screentime that he has, and they're "recurring." Since he isn't going to be on the show much longer apparently, he should only be recurring as well, not main. - Fallingx
- I believe "main" character is determined by whether their name is in the opening credits (regardless of whether they appear or not). --Milo H Minderbinder 15:49, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- Eko appeared in 3 episodes of season 3, yet he is starring becuase that it the way that he was credited. --thedemonhog 19:07, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- Nikki and Paulo are now listed each week in ABC's guest stars for the show. I think it is time to move them from main characters to recurring. Tphi 15:19, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- I agree that they need to be moved to recurring. Aristoi 17:00, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

(Readjusting indent) That isn't true, in Flashes they were credited as main characters. -- Wikipedical 03:11, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Extended Episodes?
This article states that extended versions of the 3rd season episodes (shown thus far) were to be aired prior to the return of the series in February. Does anyone have a source for this claim (and did it ever happen)?
-
- I don't know about them being aired on TV, but I know that on the website there is some American Express exclusive extended scene deal... That's the website though, not television.
[edit] Sub plots
Why are there specific details of things happening in the list of "Major Subplots"? Kate and Sawyer having sex, finding a happy Jack at the Barracks, and blowing up a Dharma station (and a lot of the others listed) are not plots. They are events that happened in the story. An example of a subplot would be the continuing tension between Jack, Kate, and Sawyer. - Charleca 17:11, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
- I started the sub-plot section, but I now think that it is probably better to write it into the plot summary in prose, like at Lost (TV series) where we decided it was better to describe the characters in prose instead of in a list. I will be merging the sub-plots into the island plot summary soon. --thedemonhog talk contributions 01:03, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Recurring characters
An editor has listed Artz and Cindy Chandler as recurring characters. This article is about season 3, not the series as a whole. The prerequisite for listing a character as recurring in a season page like this one should be a character who has been in the season at least 3 times. -- Wikipedical 00:21, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
