[edit] Real life comparisons

It would be worth a mention to say that Ganton is based on Compton, Market on the San Fernando Valley, Rodeo on Beverly Hills etc. --TBH 00:56, 6 October 2005 (UTC)

Yes, other neighbourhoods such as Idlewood and East Los Santos can be easily asumed to be base off Inglewood and East Los Angeles respectively. There is really more that can be mentioned about the city's areas than just the obvious landmarks. ╫ 25 ring-a-ding 14:31, 6 October 2005 (UTC) ╫
santa maria is based on Santa Monica, California and Marina on Venice and Willowfield on Willowbrook to name a couple more. I think that jefferson is based on Watts. --TBH 23:29, 6 October 2005 (UTC)
I don't think Market is based on the San Fernando Valley. The real San Fernando Valley is northwest of the rest of L.A. and north of Mulholland Drive... but in San Andreas, Market is between downtown and Beverly Hills? I don't think so. Market, like Temple, takes its name from an actual street in Los Angeles. Perspixx 01:56, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] discussion on merging

would it be at all concievable to merge this article into San Andreas (state)? from there we could merge the other two cities into one super-informative article on a gta location. I don't think it would be that all big. the main Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas article is quite big but not at all "crowded" and very informative. --Phil 10:34, 27 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] House in Mulholland

Apparently, one of the homes that could be purchased and located in Mulholland resembles the Stahl House in Hollywood Hills [1], designed by Pierre Koenig. An early pre-release screenshot of the building [2] also contained an interior resembling that of the Stahl House (most notably the furnishing and spherical hanging lights). I'm not sure if this finding is sufficient for inclusion, but a few more examples of inspirations for other mansions in Mulholland could be investigated. ╫ 25 ◀RingADing▶ 11:15, 31 May 2006 (UTC) ╫

[edit] Officer Tenpenny, Pulaski and Fernando Hernandez.

OK, so it says in the article that Officer Tenpenny, Pulaski and Fernando Hernandez live in Los Santos. That's not true, or at least we don't know it. Actually, the only place I've seen them 'living' in a house is in the third and last city, Las Venturas. This is my first discussion, please have mercy.. Heh. Palludan 21:54, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Los Santos Demographics

I'm getting real close to deleting this piece of info. I don't recall there being any demographics stated in game and I haven't found any similar piece of info online. Someone needs to verify it before I delete it. BishopTutu 05:40, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

While you're at it, you may like to look into some of the names in the Residents section. Some minor characters have last names ("Kane" Rolon, "Big Poppa" Mendel) that I have never heard before. ╫ 25 ◀RingADing▶ 17:46, 2 January 2007 (UTC) ╫

I agree with both of you. Palludan 23:47, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

Actually i believe they mention Kane on WCTR but I'm not sure about Mendel-Mgarnes2 18:16, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
