Leo Gorcey - Hollywood movie star from the late 1930s until the mid 1950s. He appeared in more than 90 pictures, most of them as the leader of the group that was best known as either the Dead End Kids or, later, the Bowery Boys. He retired to Los Molinos in 1956 and lived there until his death in 1969.

Marv Grissom - Major League baseball pitcher from 1946 until 1959. He pitched for the New York Giants, Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox, Boston Red Sox, San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals. He was born in Los Molinos.

Lee Grissom - Older brother of Marv Grissom. A major league pitcher from 1934 until 1941. He pitched for the Cincinnati Reds, New York Yankees and Brooklyn Dodgers. He was born in Sherman, Texas.
