[edit] Plot
Aboard the Cloud Clipper, Captain Tenderheart and Grumpy are heading home for Care-a-lot, when Grumpy notices a storm coming in. That storm, he figures, is all because of No Heart.
Meanwhile, at his palace, the angry villain himself orders his assistant, Beastly, to steal the Caring Compass (the device on the Clipper which alerts the Care Bears of No Heart’s presence).
Disembarking at Care-a-lot, the two Bears come to the aid of Sarah and Sally, two twin sisters who can never get along easily with each other, not even with the help of Cheer Bear whom they both also meet upon their arrival.
Breaking into the twins’ arguments are Baby Hugs and Baby Tugs, acting as pirates on a treasure hunt. The other Bears leave them alone along with the twins to discuss on the latter’s problems, not knowing that Beastly has built one of his flying contraptions in order to ruin their day.
Later, the Cubs and twins head aboard the Cloud Clipper. Hugs hides her chest inside a barrel, inside which, to her surprise, Bedtime Bear has been snoozing off! After taking back the chest, Bedtime urges her and Tugs to be more careful while playing, and then the two hide it under a purple rug. With both running off, Hugs curiously activates a mechanical anchor with a lever, thus setting the Clipper far back from Care-a-lot.
Having crash-landed at sea, Beastly notices the runaway ship coming closer towards him. After it has cruised under him, he swims faster, trying to get to it despite his fear of water.
As Grumpy, Tenderheart and Cheer are still discussing what to do with the twins, they are shocked to see the Cloud Clipper away from their sight.
Back at sea, Sarah and Sally wake up Bedtime Bear to tell him they all have drifted away from Care-a-lot. Alarmingly, he wonders where the Cubs have gone to, and he goes to search for them along with the two.
While those two are having fun on the ship, Beastly arrives by climbing on its anchor’s rope to do his dirty deed, but is mischievously stopped twice by the Cubs. Bedtime Bear finds Hugs and Tugs, but not in time to get back the already-stolen Caring Compass from Beastly.
Riding on their Cloud Mobiles, Tenderheart and the other two are worried that, amid such worsening weather, Hugs, Tugs and the twins will never be found; hence they call off their search and return back home.
As Beastly is about to leave with the Compass, the twins do their best to stop him; Bedtime and the Cubs later join in their efforts to retrieve it. But they all fail to do so after the vile creature takes off with the wrong items, back to No Heart’s palace.
Afterwards, Bedtime Bear insists they all return to Care-a-lot, and almost immediately do the twins show him and the Cubs the Compass, which makes Hugs and Tugs cheer in glee!
Upon their return, Cheer and the other Bears are relieved that, by agreeing with each other and saving the day, Sarah and Sally have made up for their past fighting.
The two Cubs, also with them and still on the Cloud Clipper, wonder where their treasure chest, with their toys inside, has gone—little do they know that it has ended up in the hands of a very mad No Heart!
