Los Relámpagos del Norte is a norteño band. Ramón Ayala was a former member of Los Relampagos del Norte. Cornelio Reyna was also a former member, lead singer and bajo sexto guitarist. Juan H. Barron was the drummer. Barragas was the electric bass player.

This band is greatly respected in the norteño music world and is one of the founding bands for the genre. World famous norteño bands like Intocable and Pesado follow this the grounds created by this band. Servando Cano the Owner of Los Relampagos Del Norte, currently owns various bands of similar style. These include Ramon Ayala y Los Bravos del Norte, Intocable, Pesado, Intenso, Los Tigres, Los Invasores, Los Herederos, La Firma, El Poder, Los Traileros, and several others.
