Los Altos High School is a secondary school located in Hacienda Heights, California. It is one of four secondary schools in the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District. Its students have also won an engineering award for a solar car and also won 2 years straight at BYDV (Build Your Dream Vehicle).

Los Altos Entertainment Unit: Under the direction of Mark Gunderson, the Los Altos Entertainment Unit placed 6th Place in the Southern California School Band & Orchestra Association Marching band Championships in 2006.
The Los Altos Academic Decathlon Team recently ranked 4th place in Division III.
[edit] Los Altos Academy of Engineering
The Los Altos Academy of Engineering was begun by Mr. Franz in 1989. Since the creation of the Academy, the program has built many solar cars, electric cars, and solar boats as well as an electric dragster, an solar cooler, and a dyno machine. They are currently working on the DARPA Grand Challenge and have just completed their fuel cell car Infusion.
