The term hauberk is misleading for Roman mail a) because by the definition of hauberk given elsewhere on Wikipedia it must have sleeves (Roman mail shirts did not always have them) and b) according to the definition of mail a hauberk is knee-length and a haubergeon waist-length, and Roman mail could be either. Thus 'shirt' seem unavoidable and hauberk an affectation. Tromso-man
