Lotto's work is characterized by a mixture of Venetian and northern European styles. He is most noted for his portraits. His work includes:
- St. Dominic Polyptych (1506-08)
- Portrait of a Youth Against a White Curtain (c.1508)
- Madonna and Child, with St. Flavian and St. Onophrius (1508), oil on wood
- Portrait of a Jeweler (1509-12), oil on canvas
- Christ Leading the Apostles to Mount Tabor (1511/12), oil on canvas
- Virgin and Child with Saints Jerome and Nicholas of Tolentino (1523-24), oil on canvas
- Madonna and Child (c.1525-30), oil on canvas
- Portrait of a Man with a Felt Hat (1541)
