Loretta A. Kelley, American Hardanger fiddle player.

Loretta A. Kelley is by many considered the foremost Hardanger fiddle player in the U.S.

Recently there has been a substantial revival of the Hardanger fiddle tradition in the U.S.A. Today there are more than 150 active players, and the number is growing. Undoubtedly this is a very important sounding board for the Hardanger fiddle tradition back in Norway.

She is a former President of The Hardanger Fiddle Association of America, HFAA, and she has made a considerable number of study travels and performances in Norway, where she is a well known to the folk music and folk dance circles.
