Lorena is a municipality/county in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. The population in 2004 is 77,843, the density is 186.9/km² and the area is 416.5 km². The elevation is 524 m.

The city was originated when a farm was constructed at the end of the 17th century. It became a parish in 1718, a municipality in 1788 and is a city since 1856.
