Loren Stokes

Loren Stokes (born November 12, 1983) is an American college basketball player. He is a senior combo guard at Hofstra University. He is 6'3" and weighs 175 lbs. He is one of the few players in Hofstra Pride history to at least score 2,000 points, and is considered one of the best players to ever play for Hofstra's basketball program.

In the CAA conference tourney in March 2006, Tony Skinn was boxing out with Stokes. Then, Skinn threw a punch into his groin and sent him to the bench with an ice pack on his lap. Skinn was later suspended for George Mason's 1st Round game against Michigan State.

Stokes attended Turner-Carroll High School in Buffalo, New York, after his 4 years there, he was prepped during the 2002-2003 season at St. Thomas More. Stokes has one brother, Leonard, who played at the University of Cincinnati. Loren's cousin, Corey will play for the Villanova Wildcats next season. Corey played for St. Benedict's Prep this season.
