Lord William Charles Augustus Cavendish-Bentinck

Lieutenant Colonel Lord William Charles Augustus Cavendish-Bentinck (3 October 1780 - 28 April 1826) was a great-great-grandfather of Queen Elizabeth II.
He was born to William Cavendish-Bentinck, 3rd Duke of Portland (1738 - 1809) (who was Prime Minister in 1783 and again in 1807-1809) and Lady Dorothy Cavendish (1750 - 1794).
His maternal grandparents were William Cavendish, 4th Duke of Devonshire and his wife Charlotte Boyle.
He married, firstly, Georgiana Augusta Frederica Seymour on 21 September 1808. He married, secondly, Lady Anne Wellesley, daughter of Richard Wellesley, 2nd Earl of Mornington and Hyacinthe Gabrielle Roland, on 16 July 1816, with whom he had four children, namely:
- Anne Cavendish Cavendish-Bentinck (d. 7 June 1888).
- Emily Cavendish Cavendish-Bentinck (d. 6 June 1850). Married Henry Hopwood.
- Reverend Charles William Frederick Cavendish-Bentinck (1817- 1865)
- Lt.-Gen. Arthur Cavendish-Bentinck (10 May 1819 - 11 December 1877). He married first Elizabeth Sophia Hawkins-Whitshed. They were parents of William Cavendish-Bentinck, 6th Duke of Portland. He married secondly Augusta Browne, 1st Baroness Bolsover.
The third child was the great-grandfather of Queen Elizabeth II.
He died on 28 April 1826 at age 45.1
