Lord Hume of Berwick
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Baron Hume of Berwick was a title created in the Peerage of England (though there are claims that it might actually have been in the Peerage of Scotland [1]) in 1604 for George Home, who was also created Earl of Dunbar the following year.

Generally regarded as extinct, Debrett's, however, states that David Douglas-Home, 15th Earl of Home currently holds the title: "The Lordship of Home (or Hume) of Berwick, cr by patent 1604 upon George Home, High Treasurer of Scotland (who in 1605 was cr Earl of Dunbar), with remainder to his heirs for ever, is held to have descended to the Earls of Home through lady Anna Home. Whether this was an English Barony, as thought by William Dugdale, or a Scottish Lordship, which is thought more likely in view of the remainder is uncertain." [1]
