Lord Augustus Loftus

Lord Augustus William Frederick Spencer Loftus, GCB, PC (October 4, 1817 – March 7, 1909, Surrey) was the 4th son of John Loftus, 2nd Marquess of Ely.
He served in numerous diplomatic posts, including as British minister in Prussia and Austria in the 1850s and 60s, and later as Governor of New South Wales (August 4, 1879 – November 10, 1885).
