LORAN-C transmitter Shoal Cove is the X-ray secondary of the Canadian West Coast LORAN-C Chain ( GRI 5990) and the Yankee secondary of Gulf of Alaska Chain ( GRI 7960). It uses a transmission power of 540 kW for both chains. Shoal Cove LORAN-C transmitter is situated at Shoal Cove at (55°26′21″N, 131°15′19″W). It went in service in 1977.
