LORAN-C transmitter Niijima

LORAN-C transmitter Niijima is the Master station of the North West Pacific LORAN-C Chain ( GRI 8930) and the Yankee secondary of the East Asia LORAN-C Chain ( GRI 9930 ). It uses for both chains a transmission power of 1000 kW. LORAN-C transmitter Niijima is situated near Niijima at ( 34°24′12″N, 139°16′19″E).

LORAN-C transmitter Niijima took over in September 1993 the task of Iwo Jima LORAN-C transmitter.
