Longest running Kids show -

Sesame st(1969 - present) is a relative newcomer, Blue Peter is a lot older(started in the 1950's and still going), followed by Here's Humphery (1965 - present- Australia). I think Sooty in the UK has been going a while too.

Longest running cop show is the bill (UK) 22 years!, not Hawaii 5 - 0

The longest running Sports show is not 'Wide World of Sports' but is 'Hockey Night In Canada'; which first aired October 11, 1952 - televising a game between Montreal and Toronto. HNIC has been aired continuously since that date in various forms - with up to three games a night being shown consecutively on Saturday nights in Canada during the season (including the playoffs). 24.84.2.6 02:49, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
