Talk:London (disambiguation)

Should a disambiguation page include information about the assorted places? I'd rather all that info was moved to the relevant article and this was just a plain list. -- SGBailey 10:58 Dec 24, 2002 (UTC)
Hmm.... I see. No, we don't need this much information -- in fact, it makes the list hard to absorb. Just "London, Kentucky", etc, is enough for the reader to find which London they are looking for. -- Tarquin 11:15 Dec 24, 2002 (UTC)
I would not have thought so, not that much. The occasional one-liner sometimes can help, like London View, Ontario (not the same place as London, Ontario) but I would have thought all the other stuff (Zip code, inside leg measurement etc) was a bit excessive. It would be interesting to know the view of whoever put all that in and what they were aiming for, so they have a chance to discuss it. Nevilley 14:50 Dec 24, 2002 (UTC)
- Oh, it's Mav, why don't we ask him? Nevilley 14:51 Dec 24, 2002 (UTC)
Although normally we try to add some info to naked lists to make them more useful, in this case the Gazetteer info is a bit redundant now that Rambot has created most of the entries. The reason I placed the info there was to give people at least some starting information to create the articles. --mav
